We all have stories waiting to be shared, those big moments that bring joy and tears, as well as the smaller anecdotes that hold dear family memories. A great way to capture these stories is by creating a short video that combines images and narration in PowerPoint. You might also include clips of homes or family heirlooms, along with a bit of narration explaining their significance. Join Lianne to learn how to upload your videos to a free YouTube channel, creating a lasting family archive that's easy to share and revisit for years to come.
Lianne Kruger loves to share her knowledge of technology and genealogy to help others find their family history. She has taught computer software courses since 1982. Her instruction helps genealogists to use technology with #NoTears. She does this through published articles, blog, videos on her YouTube channel, and speaking at conferences in Canada, England, and the United States including RootsTech and Legacy FamilyTree Videos. She has a certificate and associate degree in Family History Research from BYU-Idaho. She is a board member and CFO of mitoYDNA.org, program chair for East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference, and Past President of Alberta Genealogical Society.
