VGS member and Past President Ron Nicholson recently received the Governor General’s Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers at the July 20th Oak Bay Volunteer Services annual recognition event. Ron qualified for his well-deserved medal as a long-time volunteer with the Black History Awareness Society, the Victoria Genealogical Society, and the Oak Bay Volunteers Services where he helps those in need with their taxes. Congratulations Ron!
