Meet and chat about all thing genealogical with like-minded individuals. Network, learn and stay connected over the summer in this casual environment.

Held bi-weekly in June, July and August at our VGS Centre in Royal Oak.
Scheduled on Wednesday afternoons , 1pm to 3pm on :

VGS AT THE 2024 HIGHLAND GAMES

If you were at the Highland Games over the long weekend on May 18th and 19th, we hope you dropped by the VGS tent to say hello.

For those who volunteered, it was a great experience thanks to Mike Woodcock and his exceptional organizing skills. When Saturday grew windy and wet, he went to Starbucks and got us coffee!

"I did make someone cry….but it was a good cry….with this record (a marriage license). Two people cried - the grand-daughter and the great-granddaughter. The young woman had dragged her mother in saying 'I want to learn more about your side of the family mom'".

Please consider helping VGS when you shop for groceries at Fairway Market stores. VGS is now enrolled in the Fairway Market Community Card program. It's easy for members and non-members alike to participate. Pick up your free card at the Victoria Genealogy Learning and Research Centre.
